< Who am I to judge? >

The Republican party should take notes.

Stop alienating gay people and their families, and turn your numbers around.

I appreciate this stance, but I do have to point out that the official Catholic church answer to "who is to judge?" is usually this guy.  He's the Pope, that's sort of his job, right?  Isn't he kind of ducking out on his job here?

I think it's more along the lines of the church taking a "Don't ask, Don't tell" stance, but even more lenient.

They're not saying "go suck some dick". They're saying, "Hey, if you want to suck some dick, that's between you and God, but we won't judge you. So come pray with us!"

Meaningless words.

QUOTE
The official position of the Catholic Church on the issue is that while homosexual desires or attractions are not in themselves sinful, the physical acts are.

When they change their tune on this, maybe.

Well, you "have" to be celibate to be a priest anyway, so gay or straight really shouldn't matter.  And, he isn't saying that he isn't judging their acts and behavior, just their personhood.

For an organization founded by a unmarried dude that hung out with twelve other dudes, they're really uptight about being gay.
