Extracting viable DNA from tissue past a certain age (somewhere between 10K and 100K years after death) is virtually impossible without the most ideal of ideal conditions. Not sure how a sample of blood in this shape would pan out.

Interesting enough, we have < kind of > brought back < recently extinct species > before. Get the feeling cattle's easier to breed than elephants, though.
