< Piss off the rich, they move away >. However, you can tell whoever wrote that article has a sense of humour. Every shot of Gerard shows his now Brandoesque proportions. Not the young Brando.QUOTE The actor was later invited to set up home in the central Russian region of Mordovia, known for its Stalin-era prison camps. Nice. QUOTE Mr Depardieu went on to describe Russia as "a great democracy, and not a country where the prime minister calls one of its citizens shabby". Remember that Pussy Riot thing? Even tossing out all the bullshit about whether or not they deserve jail ... QUOTE Both supporters and critics of the band (Pussy Riot) demonstrated at their sentencing hearing. Opposition leader Sergei Udaltsov, who was protesting in support of the band, was detained by police, while former world chess champion and a long standing opposition member Garry Kasparov, trying to attend the reading of the verdict, was arrested and beaten. Democracy = arresting and beating people at trial verdict readings. But as long as they're not berated in public, it's cool. I guess the Prime Minister (that'd be Dmitry Medvedev) calling people "shabby" is off limits, but it looks like the President (Putin) calling people "Jew-hater" < is totally fair game >. Then again, were I faced with a minus sixty percent tax rate differential and compromised politics on one hand versus legalized theft on the other, I might make the same choices and swear my allegiance to a country run by a < dude who takes time out of his day to lead birds in a migratory flight >. These countries are not going to survive their socialist experiments if all the producers leave. Perhaps they need to build a long wall fortified by their military in order to keep people in. I want to say i,ve seen that work somewhere before.

How the world has changed when people looking for more economic freedom are fleeing to Russia.I wonder what Reagan would think about that. |
