According to this, more people would be biking if they weren't making a safe activity look dangerous.

Shut up shut up shut up!  You're going to give someone ideas, and next thing you know we'll have a federally mandated shower and ladder helmet law.

Also because people don't want to be carrying a dorky helmet around with them everywhere they go.

Much less wear one.

For mountain-biking, I always wear a helmet.

For street biking, I sometimes go without.  I went to lunch the other day on my bike, and came back to work (4 miles RT) and 2 people gave me grief for not wearing a helmet.  I honestly don't see much point in a helmet, I've gone about 900 miles this year on road, and a helmet has never been needed.

I see guys riding motorcycles going faster than the posted speed limits, zig zagging in and out of traffic, and doing wheelies, and I think to myself, "Thank goodness they're wearing a helmet."

Helmet laws are ignorant.

I don't even think helmets for motorcycles are required in Ohio, any more.... are they?

I only wear a helmet for mountain biking and if I'm in an organized ride where they require one.
