< Pissing on corpses. >

That's tasteless, but there's something about it anyone can understand. Young men showing their dominance over folks who are trying to kill them. It's not hard to figure out.

Posting it on YouTube? Fucking ignorant.

I never said they were really smart.

Heh, apparently the Marines were in 3/2, in the Regiment I used to be stationed in.  3/2 = 3rd Battallion 2nd Marine Regiment.

This article is full of government officials having opinions about the video, all of them shocked and disgusted and dismayed.

I want just *one* *single* *official* to say, "Yes, killing them is fine, be it filling them full of lead or blowing them into little bits, but urinating on them is crossing the line."

Well, it's all about winning hearts and minds. As long as we're very polite in our killing, I guess that wins hearts and minds.

Sometimes it is easy to see the point Colonel Kurtz was trying to make.

How often did you see this Gordon?

Holy shit.

I've seen some near-misses, and they have a little thing for those and it is a crowd pleaser.  I have never seen a complete disaster like a dropped weapon, though, and certainly I have never seen a weapon break.  I don't have any idea what the punishment, if any, would be.

Wow. I always wondered what they did if somebody messed up. A key component of showmanship is taking that shit in stride.

BTW, are those M-1s or M-14s?

Posted by GORDON on Mar. 16 2015,18:16
I THINK they are M-1s.  If I got a closer look I'd know for sure.
