When I read that article I was thinking the same thing. This flare will not only affect man made transmissions and possibly equipment, but it's going to increase temperatures, melt snow faster, speed up evaporation, cause big storms, potential flooding, higher water levels (depending where it hits), etc. How is that possible if this flare wasn't caused by an SUV? I'm not saying that Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin are on the sun drilling for oil. I'm not saying that. But when you hear the same thing time and again, from so many different people....
