QUOTE "But this court does not make policy. Whether Congress's prohibition or the Legislature's exemption is good policy is not for us to say. Rather, we must decide the legal question of whether California's exemption violates Congress's prohibition or is otherwise invalid." Wow. Where the fuck is that logic in every other ruling? Wait, out of state students are treated worse than people here illegally? So does in-state tuition apply to immigrants that are here legally?I'm confused. Posted by unkbill on Nov. 18 2010,16:45
Republican congressmen Lamar S. Smith of Texas and Steve King of Iowa filed a so-called friends of the court brief urging that illegal immigrants be denied the reduced rate. To me that is the funny part. It should't be in the courts in the first place. Because those people shouldn't be Here. It already is a law. If you are here illegally you get tossed out. Or is there some new law stating if you sneak into this country and can evade us for 2 years your in. Some countries might have you shot as a spy. |
