Is anyone surprised that < death threats towards Congressmen > are skyrocketing?

Let's see...
-You're reducing personal freedom in the "land of the free"
-Passing legislation that the public doesn't want
-Taking partisan politics to a new level while ignoring the people's desires and needs
-Your approval levels are less than 20%.
-The president's approval level is at 49%
-The MSM is your biggest supporter and their credibility is at an all time low.
-The economy sucks.
-The dollar sucks.
-The education system sucks
-The job market sucks.
-People are losing their homes left and right
-Prices continue to rise
-Anytime there's an incident (Katrina, the oil spill in the gulf, etc.) you do nothing but posture instead of doing anything helpful
-Illegal aliens have become a massive drain on our economy and culture, yet you refuse to raise a hand (because you're trying to get them to vote for you)
-The military is currently in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now North Korea and Iran are acting tough
-Etc.

Meanwhile, while the American people suffer, our "leaders" spend all their time blaming each other instead of solving problems.

Yeah, I'm really stunned about these death threats.

“The first time you get a death threat, it’s really, really alarming, not to mention they know where you live and can find your family,” Shuler said. “It is very difficult when you serve in public office.”

"Serve," my ass.  Who knew that public office meant dealing with the public?  Weird.

Meanwhile, < Union Thugs get a police escort > to stage a "protest" outside a private citizen's home.

But it's the right-wing Tea Party racist homophobe anti-government bigots that we need to be worried about.

So you post something that is under the heading communist, socialist and leftist moonbats. Is  there any chance there might be a creditability problem?

Just because the site he pulled the article from has labels such as that doesn't mean the story didn't happen. Did you read the article? It plainly states that this event was widely reported and has links throughout to other uncredible sources like Fortune Magazine.

But hey, aside from the police escort, I'm sure there's always a legitimate reason to go and protest someone's residence and terrorize his family. That's the action of logical, sane minds opening dialogue to all opinions and working for the common good, not thugs and bullies who are trying to intimidate people to get their way.

Perhaps you'd find the Huffington Post version of events to be more credible?

Maybe they should follow the kids to school saying things like, "It would be a shame if something bad happened to your parents."

You know, free speech and stuff.
