Interesting.  In NC, turning down work often leads to disqualification.  But I guess people can just lie.

Same here in TX.  If you are on unemployment, the state will call the places you apply to make sure you showed up and didn't turn down an offer.

All you have to do is only put down the ones that didn't call you back.

In Ohio you didn't have to take a job that paid less than the one that laid you off.
When in Alabama I just called roofing companies if they were accepting applications I didn't write there name down that I had applied. Of course that was 30 years ago.
