< NY Dem wants to ban salt in restaurants...even in the kitchen! >

Yeah, that won't pass.

If it does, I expect it to be reversed quickly.  As soon as they next go out to eat and realize how important salt is when cooking.

Hey, publicity whore, let's make it mandatory for your fat ass to get to a gym.

Lots of things are called salt.

Perhaps NY should ban any mixing of alkalines and bases.

Just like the smoking ban. You don't expect them to have to follow the rules do you?

I think some things are impossible to cook without salt.

Corned Beef is right out.  Completely impossible to make it without salt.

Fortunately there aren't many delis in New York, so no harm done there.

And of course, bread and other dough-based items like pizza crust.  With zero salt they don't cook right.

"No owner or operator of a restaurant in this state shall use salt in any form in the preparation of any food," the bill reads.

I read somewhere that the only medical basis he has for this Bill is that he watched his Dad die from heart disease and he ate "too much" salt.  Means nothing, of course.  If Dad had a job where he sweated a lot he'd need a lot of salt in his diet.

Ignorant busy-bodies like this guy are... the worst part of being forced to deal with other humans.
