It doesn't matter who started this mess. It is going to take time to get out of. In in a year or so we are still hip dip in shit I will say fuck this. I didn't vote for him but here he is. I do think he works his ass off to help us. Wheather or not he is right is yet to be seen. Yes he makes mistakes hope he learned to keep his mouth shut on black matters.

It's difficult to accidentally spend more money in 3 months than every other president before you, combined.

The mere fact that he's pushing this universal health care bullshit is enough for me to declare him a disaster.

Him pushing it makes him a sell-out.  Him believing in it makes him a fuckwit.

If it actually gets thru both houses & signed into law, then I'll call it a disaster.  WWIII almost happened a shitload of times.

Looking for stats on that.  Is it fact or internet fact?

Have seen it in print more than once.  All I got.

Check whitehouse.gov.  I bet they're really proud of it and have it on the front page.

National Debt Road Trip:  < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5yxFtTwDcc >

There's links on the video to the raw data sources (the treasure department for historical data, and whitehouse.gov for the spending plans for the next few years).

I'm not even close to conceding that it was all his fault. I think he inherited some of that headache.

He inherited spending moneyy?
Posted by TPRJones on Jul. 31 2009,08:17
Well, he did get saddled with a Democratic congress.

As much as I think Obama is proving to be an incompetent moron, and truthfully, not even a good PR guy (he sucks without a teleprompter), I agree with TPR.

This Democratic congress might be the reason he doesn't win re-election. If Congress was Republican controlled, he wouldn't be spending this much, and could blame them for everything.

Time the hell out.  Just cos the checks & balances between executive & legislative aren't working out doesn't absolve him of his more than dubious grasp of financial matters & a few other areas.

Race relations.

And he could have used a little executive experience.  Any.

Eh.  Depends.  While it's always better to've than not to've, if I've got the feeling someone's essentially a fuckwit, then experience matters.  Some fuckwits can be trained to the point of pseudocompetency, despite of their idiocy.

If I think someone's got the correct fundamental precepts, then I start caring fuck all about experience.  The last prez that fit that description may've been Washington, though.

I wouldn't say it's all his fault either, but even if you look at the spending Bush did in the last two years in office, Obama was part of the Senate that write those bills.

And what was TARP last fall? Something around $780 billion?  Obama and McCain stopped campaigning to run back to DC and both put their big sloppy kisses on that pig.

So while Obama had plenty of help, he HAS increased spending at an alarming rate AND he has never in the history of ever been a champion of responsible budgets and spending.

He was the original "all corporations are inherently evil & are the bane of society" dude.  Other than that, he's mostly alright.

My memories of the handful of biographies of him I've read, the one that sticks out the most is his agonizing over the Louisiana Purchase.  He knew he wanted it, but the Constitution didn't specifically allow for it.

It is just striking considering most legislators these days use the constitution for gag toilet paper.

That's another problem.  A slam dunk is a slam dunk.  Fucking make it when you get the chance, justify it later.  Land is the foundation of the state.
