Yesterday:

Wife has misplaced her sunglasses.  She is searching the house getting more and more irritated.

Wife: I can't find them!  I know they have to be here!  Did you notice when I had them on last?

Me:  (Detecting danger now that her attention is on me) No, I can't recall where I saw you with them, last.  Also, this is going to end up being my fault, right?

Wife: Of course not.  But if you paid more attention to me, you'd have noticed where I had them last.

Were she paying attention to you more, she could remind you to do so when appropriate.

Most relationships have NOTHING to do w\ morality.  You can put "marriage" at the top of that list.
