After checking the stats on Christians and Jews in the US, I'd say 0.5 - 1.0%.

270-something million Christians. Figure that leaves 30M for everyone else. Minus 5.5M. Based on immigration history alone, no way there are as many Muslims as Jews in this country. I brainlessly halved it, then halved it again for the lower range of my guess.

I think I read the number a bunch of years ago when someone mentioned Bush was declaring war on islam and someone else "there are more muslims in America than there are in..." wherever. Haven't checked recently, but 10-ish years ago when Bush was declaring war on Islam, I read somewhere that:1. Most Muslims in this country were Black Americans, like Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan. 2.
