So last night I am unloading boxes that I haven't seen in years. My new shelves are up and it is time to put stuff on them.I found an old Dungeons and Dragons book, "Unearthed Arcana," that was in the wrong box for some reason, so I was going to show my kid some old pics out of it. I open it up, and out comes the slip of paper that my first ever girlfriend gave me when she was giving me her phone number the first time we met, in her flowery girly handwriting and everything. Funny for 2 reasons: 1. "Unearthed Arcana," indeed. 2. I probably haven't looked at that book again since I started dating hot chicks.... which means as soon as I was dating hot chicks, I wasn't playing D&D any more. Telling, I suppose. ++++ Somewhat related story: Recently a new kid joined our cub scout pack, and his mom ended up being a girl I had a "serious" relationship with when I was a senior and she a junior. You know what I mean. But I haven't seen nor heard from her since a few days before I joined the military. Anyway, this is the first time I ever bumped into an old girlfriend like this.... I haven't lived in Ohio for the majority of the last 20 years, so it just never happened before. I was kind of in shock. Just weird. Anyway, she is 40+, obviously, and not the little cheerleader I knew, and my wife couldn't believe I was with her because she just wasn't all that. So I pulled out another box last night, and found a pic of her when we were together and she was a 16yo cheerleader. Against my better judgement, I showed the wife.... can't have the wife thinking I used to date ugly chicks. She gets kind of a scowl and says, "She looks scrawny and sickly." Chicks, man. (GORDON @ Apr. 03 2014,13:17) QUOTE She gets kind of a scowl and says, "She looks scrawny and sickly." "That girl needs a samich." My wife and I say that all the time. Posted by GORDON on Apr. 03 2014,16:06
