From the Boston Globe:QUOTE On the 35th anniversary of its launch, the Voyager 1 spacecraft is close to becoming the first man-made object to escape our solar system. The spacecraft--run by a 1977 computer 100,000 times less powerful than an Ipod Nano--is currently 11.3 billion miles away. Pretty cool stuff. Posted by Malcolm on Oct. 08 2012,10:45
Only supposed to have enough power to last until 2025-2030.

QUOTE Only supposed to have enough power to last until 2025-2030. Doesn't matter, it's still awesome. Besides, for all we know some alien race powered it up and sent it on it's way to help us out a bit. Or the Borg are on their way... Posted by Malcolm on Oct. 08 2012,11:02
I can't imagine any alien race that knows better wanting to get a closer look at the hell-hole we call Earth, mainly due to the dickish, xenophobic dominant species.
