On facebook you just ruipped someone for this quote:"The definiton of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." -Benjamin Franklin You should simply reply, "Obama 2012." Posted by Leisher on Mar. 21 2012,06:25
Holy crap that was fast. I literally just posted that. (They claimed Ben Franklin said it...he didn't.) I would LOVE to post Obama 2012, but that's my wife's best friend, and she's a ridiculously liberal person. I don't feel like starting a war with her. She knows where I stand. Posted by GORDON on Mar. 21 2012,06:26
You can claim it is sincere, and you are seriously voting for Obama in 2012, no matter how insane it is to do the same thing over and expect different results. :-D

I've always heard that Einstein said it.

Wikiquotes says neither one said it.QUOTE The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Misattributed to various people, including Albert Einstein and Mark Twain. An early occurrence was used as a teaching reference at University of California, Irvine in social science lectures in the later 1960s. Also found in a 1981 text from Narcotics Anonymous. < Link > Posted by TheCatt on Mar. 21 2012,08:29
LOL... just looked up the thread yall were discussing. Nice, Leisher.![]()

It's funny that he doesn't want to start a political discussion, but has no problem calling her out on facebook as a dumbass.Liberals, hehehehehe. Posted by Leisher on Mar. 21 2012,11:16
Go look up the recent discussion I had with Davd Eichenberg on FB if you want to see more hilarious liberal thinking.

Somewhere, Leisher said soomething to the effect of "I don't like facebook talling the world which yahoo news articles I read." I couldn't find it on the forum. But I found this funny:

See that's the kind of bullshit that pisses me off about Facebook. It's an innocent, and funny article, yet it makes me look shitty because the writer had fun with the headline. An article that I didn't tell Yahoo to let the world know I read it. I never gave Yahoo's FB app, which apparently is a thing, permission to post on my behalf. I just looked and ESPN's app, which is apparently a thing, has permission to post on my behalf AND setup calendar events. Fuck you FB! What brainiac at FB thinks the default settings for security should be none, and be ALL for permissions? Posted by GORDON on Apr. 20 2012,08:38
You can go onto your wall and delete it manually. But yeah, it shouldn't just appear. Posted by TheCatt on Apr. 20 2012,10:38
What I hate, is that I'll then see those links, click em, and it's all "I want your permission to tell everyone in the world you are looking at this shit"So then, I have to click no, then go to google, and google the damned article to read it. Posted by Leisher on Apr. 20 2012,10:47
Yeah, why does every app on FB need permission to do anything on your account? How about just letting me check out your app without me needing to give you access to my entire life? Whenever I get that warning now, I cancel out. Fuck those apps. If I made one, it wouldn't ask that question, but rather state something like: "This is an app. We are not you, thus we don't need permission to access your photos, post on your wall as you, email your friends, etc. We just want you to to try our product. Thanks!" Posted by GORDON on Apr. 20 2012,10:53
I cancel out of the app, then hide every other instance of that app before I can see it again.

(Leisher @ Apr. 20 2012,09:15) QUOTE What brainiac at FB thinks the default settings for security should be none, and be ALL for permissions? That would be Mark Zuckerberg. He's totally opposed to any sort of online privacy at all. What little optional things you can set on FB currently for a tiny bit of privacy he's done begrudgingly just to make people stop whining. Those options will go away over time. Posted by TheCatt on Apr. 20 2012,17:10
I hate that my facebook feed has somehow gone back to top storeies again.

(TheCatt @ Apr. 20 2012,20:10) QUOTE I hate that my facebook feed has somehow gone back to top storeies again. Right around the time people were saying that Facebook was worth $5 billion, I styarted getting email alerts for when people would make posts. I have had email alerts disabled since forever ago. I went back into settings, and email alerts were re-enabled. I re-disabled them, again. I still am getting email alerts. One would think a $5 billion company with pretty much only one product would be able to not have such a simple function all fucked up. Posted by Cakedaddy on Apr. 20 2012,18:53
How does FB make it's money? Ads? If so, anything to make you click on something is cash in pocket, no? So, of course they want to flood the market with links to click on.
