You all know what I'm talking about, right? There's a bit of a debate about this. One the one hand, people are a little upset that the Gummint is slaying one of its own citizens, without a trial. On the other hand: terror!I just don't know. I wonder if this was an issue during the Civil War. You know, the Gummint killed, via the US Army, lots of its own citizens. But it was a war and they were on the other side. But was there a declaration of war? I don't even know. The Union position was that the CSA wasn't a "real" nation, it was just a bunch of parts of the USA that were misbehaving. So would the Confederate Army, in today's legal framework, be considered a "real" army, or "illegal combatants?" They did wear uniforms...when they could afford them. We got both of them. I have no issue with either of the deaths. And I don't really need to hear the whining of people who do. These people were at war with America, and we killed them. That's what happens in war.
