Obama: Born in the USA or not?
Posted by TheCatt on Apr. 12 2011,09:34
Doesn't matter, his mom was American.

I always thought the birther controversy was just reaching, but by this time it seems like they are hiding something.Probably says "muslim" or something. Posted by unkbill on Apr. 12 2011,15:57
To me it is who was gaurding the hen house. Who let the foxes in to begin with. I am sure he had to make an application to run. Who is suppose to check this shit. FBI, CIA, Homeland security? This should be a none issue.

It's ...a) kind of insane to begin with because the validity of the claim is questionable, at best (unless someone's holding back some incriminating shit) AND b) so far past the point of time when contesting something like this is even worthwhile Posted by GORDON on Apr. 12 2011,20:24
Granted, it didn't take the wost earthquake in X centuries to cause Chernobyl to melt down.

(GORDON @ Apr. 12 2011,22:24) QUOTE Granted, it didn't take the wost earthquake in X centuries to cause Chernobyl to melt down. Wrong thread? Posted by GORDON on Apr. 13 2011,04:17
Huh.

Gordon's been drinking. As for the birther controversy, I thought it was odd in the beginning when this should have been conclusively determined and the MSM, who at the time couldn't crawl far enough up Obama's ass, were oddly silent on the issue. Something was wrong. Does that mean I don't think he's an American citizen? No, but I do believe they were hiding something. The problem is that we're now well past the point where it matters. I always thought instead of focusing on where he was born, his opponents should have been focusing on the Islamic influences in his life, his anti-American culture friends and associates, and his lack of respect for women. (Leisher @ Apr. 13 2011,08:27) QUOTE I always thought instead of focusing on where he was born, his opponents should have been focusing on the Islamic influences in his life, his anti-American culture friends and associates, and his lack of respect for women. He was conclusively nailed with connections to Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers, but that didn't matter at all. Posted by Leisher on Apr. 13 2011,06:55
QUOTE He was conclusively nailed with connections to Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers, but that didn't matter at all. It mattered, and I remember his poll numbers dropping. The problem is that it was forgotten. The MSM refused to give it as much coverage as they should have, and the other side never pressed the issue. How did this not come up during a national debate? Obama was either lying or admitting that he was too stupid to pick up on hate speech over a 20 year period. Posted by GORDON on Apr. 13 2011,07:31
What bugged me about the last election was, besides the fact Obama's weaknesses were completely ignored and 'community organizer' was all the experience he really needed, was that Palin got slammed so hard. I always have to pause for a moment to remember who our VP is named, but I know Palin, her husbands name, how many kids she has, some of their names, how many have genetic diseases, what her husband did for a living, her wardrobe budget during the election, and on and on. No modern politician was persecuted as much as she has been, including, IMO, george bush.

Admittedly, she's an idiot

QUOTE Admittedly, she's an idiot Agreed. Although Gordon's point is correct. You'd have to be a blithering idiot to have watched the last presidential election and come away thinking the MSM is unbiased. The MSM got Obama elected. Posted by GORDON on Apr. 13 2011,08:48
My absolutely favorite piece of cognitive dissonance during the last election was that Palin didn't have enough experience to be a VP because all she had been was a state governor, but Obama had enough experience to be President because he spent a partial term in the legislature, and was a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER.We're all regretting that vast experience, now. Well.Remember the Bush Guard memo? Anyway, what do they call the conspiracy theory that Sarah Palin didn't really have that last baby, and was covering for her daughter? "Birther" is already taken. Oh wait, we can't mock that situation because it is a republican and might be true. Posted by TheCatt on Apr. 27 2011,07:18
< Still American >

"And you're sure this is perfect?""Sir, we even found a felt tip pen in a drawer of a desk in storage since 1962 just in case someone tries to check the molecular content of the ink of the signature." Anyway, I never really cared, but it really isn't the White House's job to say NO when Americans want to check the legal validity of their elected officials. |
