Ok, in no particular order:

1.  Lex Luthor... I've never paid attention to more than 1% of the comics that are out there, but this was not the correct character.

2.  Didn't like Batman's "hiding in the corner lamely, getting spotted by the cop/scrambling on the ceiling like a cockroach to get away" moment.

3.  Bruce Wayne's growing paranoid psychoses seemed dumb.  I hope the extended edition show more of Lex Luthor fucking with his mind than the brief suggestion of it we got in the movie.  I mean, it just seemed dumb.  People kept telling him left and right he was off base, and he just went full GOTTA KILL HIM.

4.  Speaking of which, what was Batman's death count in this move?  It was more than 10.  I thought he didn't kill people.

5.  How does Zod + Luthor DNA = Doomsday?  Is that what Clark and Lois's baby would look like?

6.  And speaking of which, am I crazy or did I see a nipple in the bathtub?

7.  Liked Wonder Woman.  I'll give her movie a chance.

8.  Aquaman seemed kind of dumb.  "GET THAT CAMERA OUT OF MY FACE BEFORE I CALL A SQUID OR LARGE FISH TO DEAL WITH IT."

9.  Flash, we've seen this guy in 2 Marvel movies, already.  I hope they have something new to show me.  And I heard they weren't even using the same Flash from their own TV show currently running.  I hate shit like that.  Way to kill any continuity in your universe.

10.  If SUpes can heal from a spike through his heart in the dark why can't Zod head from a broken neck?  Is a Kryptonian's Medulla Oblongata their.... errr... kryptonite?

11.  I liked watching Gal Gadot's legs.

12.  I didn't know their moms had the same names.  That was lucky.

13.  Why was Perry White steering Kent off a big story, making him report the sports instead?

14.  Yeah.  That's all I got right now.

15.  Oh, I liked that near the end when shit was hitting the fan with Doomsday, Batman knew that pretty much all he could do was stay the fuck out of the way until he could fire the one round he had left, at the right time.

I thought he didn't kill people.

He doesn't use guns ... well, except one time.  He might not directly ice someone, but he's got no problem say, locking them in a room and letting them starve to death.

QUOTE
How does Zod + Luthor DNA = Doomsday?

Fuck, really?  In the comics, Doomsday is the product of untold generations of forced, mostly fatal, evolution by a mad scientist.  As always, Superman's solution to the problem was "punch harder."

Labeled just fine.  This is a movie I do not give two fucks about.  That was sealed when casting was done.  Reading this thread merely confirms my initial instincts were correct.  I'll wait until this heads to the world of cable or streaming.

If there are two cities they could portray as being adjacent, it'd be these.  They're supposed to represent two sides of NYC, as in "bright and shiny" versus "grimy and noir."

QUOTE
Gotham City is frequently depicted to be within driving distance of Metropolis, the home of Superman. Like Gotham, Metropolis' location has also varied over the years. The distance between Gotham and Metropolis has varied greatly over the years, with depictions of the two ranging from being hundreds of miles apart to Gotham and Metropolis being shown as twin cities on opposite sides of Delaware Bay, with Gotham City in New Jersey and Metropolis in Delaware.

Yeah, as I said, Lex Luthor isn't supposed to be some gibbering cross between Ledger's Joker and some crazy person I can't think of, begging for chaos to reign.  There must be some shit to splain it in the deleted scenes.

I think the filmmakers just got confused about what the difference was supposed to be between Lex Luthor and the Joker.  A villian is a villian is a villian, right?  And people really liked Heath Ledger's Joker, so do something like that.  Just make it slightly more ... Luthory.

Problem is Luthor is a calculated, patient, reserved, suave, almost Thrawn-like figure.  I get zero of that from Eisenberg.

As I said, liked it better the second time.

I asked before... why is Batman acting like a kill-happy psycho?

I think the movie addressed it, and I just didn't notice it the first time around.  Again and again Bruce Wayne is talking to Alfred about how the old days are gone, nothing is how it used to be, and no one stays good.  I think we saw that.  I think we came into this movie after he is old and jaded and no longer gives a fuck about playing nice.  It was just jarring on the first go-round because the last time we saw Batman he was still all awesome and following his own rules.  We didn't see his transition... even though it's pretty obvious that this film isn't in the Nolan-Batman universe... which actually makes the transition even more jarring.

When Bruce has a chance to "Save Martha," to him it feels like he gets a do-over with saving his own mother.  It helps him to pull his head out of his ass, and by the end he is again ready to rejoin society and be a team player.

I forgive myself for not getting it the first time around.  And I understand why it isn't doing well, most people wont give it as much thought as I did.

If the producers wanted to encourage thinking, they went about it in a befuddling way.

Yeah, I have a feeling when they put deleted scenes back in and make this a 3.5 hour movie, it will go a long way to fixing things. Especially since there's a deleted scene of Darkseid screwing with Luthor.

Know what?  I don't think we needed to see Bruce Wayne's parents get killed yet again.  It added absolutely nothing that I hadn't already seen 3 times before on the screen.

One review I read had a great couple lines, allow me to paraphrase:

"The heroes winning is entirely dependent upon two moms having the same name.  If one's named Janet, the universe is fucked."

On the other hand, maybe Bruce Wayne was just looking for any excuse to not kill him, he just wanted to prove to Clark that he could.

Holy shit where to begin?

Ok, in no particular order:

2.  Didn't like Batman's "hiding in the corner lamely, getting spotted by the cop/scrambling on the ceiling like a cockroach to get away" moment.

13.  Why was Perry White steering Kent off a big story, making him report the sports instead?

14.  Yeah.  That's all I got right now.

1. I think they were trying to make him Alexander Luthor which is an alternative universe Luthor, but I thought he was a good guy. Also, the character itself, no matter which Luthor, was inconsistent. Was he smart enough to outwit Batman, figure out both secret identities, try to blackmail a senator, yet gets his right hand woman killed, doesn't foresee problems with Doomsday, can't foresee Batman stealing from him, and so on. Plus, is he crazy the whole time or just at the end? Horribly written character.

2. Terrible moment. Simply fucking terrible. He might as well have been holding his forefinger in front of his face trying to hide behind that.

3. I get what Snyder was trying to do, but fuck did he hammer this point home again and again and again and again and again and again for two and a half fucking hours!

4. He does NOT kill people. Snyder doesn't understand the mythos of Batman. He's not a come right at you killer, but a scare the shit out of you from the shadows guy. Nolan understood Batman.

5. Worst part of the movie and a waste of an amazing...A-FUCKING-MAZING...character with an awesome backstory. And here's a question...if Supes gets his power from the yellow sun, then how was Doomsday, another Kryptonian,  powerful despite being born in the dark and at night?

6. Not sure. I was wondering the same.

7. LOVED her until she put on the costume, then she got a bit too cartoony. Again, I blame Snyder.

8. Aquaman's cameo was terrible. All the cameos were terrible.

9. WB/DC have stated their movie and TV universes are separate entities. I'm not a fan either. I think what Marvel is doing with their continuity is amazing.

10. No idea how they're going to solve this issue without explaining why Zod, Doomsday, and all those other Kryptonians are dead. In the book, Superman didn't get stabbed through the heart, but was beaten to death. Or what appeared to be death.

11. Agreed.

12. It's a lot like how groups and people in the Marvel universe have their first and last name starting with the same letter. (Fantastic Four, Sue Storm, Reed Richards, Scott Summers, Peter Parker, and the list goes on for a while. I think The Big Bang Theory did a bit on this once.)

13. That was really dumb because newspapers, TV stations, etc. don't assign stories like that in real life. You have beat reporters and folks who specialize in things. I did enjoy how broke they were though since print is dying.

QUOTE
15.  Oh, I liked that near the end when shit was hitting the fan with Doomsday, Batman knew that pretty much all he could do was stay the fuck out of the way until he could fire the one round he had left, at the right time.

I think that scene was something Snyder got right. He showed Super and WW fighting Doomsday from Batman's perspective and he was portrayed as being small and powerless. That might be my favorite moment from the movie.

QUOTE
16.  Are Metropolis and Gotham now... like... across "the Bay" from each other?  Or are they far away and I just got confused?

In the movie they're separated by a bay. Not sure how accurate this is, but I did a quick Google and found this map:

To be fair, I think I posted a story here years ago about new tech where they could fit the Library of Congress several times over onto a sugar cube. Of course, that still doesn't explain those transfer speeds.

Long story short, this movie sucked.
