Basically a new start for the Rocky franchise.
Creed's bastard son Adonis has everything, but wants to box. Nobody understands why he wants to take the silver spoon out of his mouth, but he does and he seeks out Rocky's help.
This is a very well directed and acted film. The pacing and story are just different enough, yet just similar enough to the original Rocky to connect the two films.
I loved Adonis' progression throughout the movie. By the end of the film his drive and every action make sense as it all gets wrapped up nicely.
The whole film, including everyone's story, can be summed up as "never stop fighting".
Worst part of the film was his main opponent who legit looks like a bad ass until he takes off his shirt and he's completely undefined and has little boy pecs. I'm sure the guy can throw in real life, he just didn't have the body to reflect that.
Saw the film with 5 other people (2 guys, 3 women) and all loved it. This is noteworthy because none of the women are fight fans, yet still really enjoyed the movie.

Liked, and I'm a Rocky fan from way back. 20 years ago the cassette of songs from Rocky 1-4 was my main workout soundtrack. And I got goosebumps in this movie when the familiar notes came up in the last round...
