Kid had a day off school for no good reason, so we caught a matinee.
Disney movie about a video game character who is tired of being the "bad guy..." but really, isn't a bad guy...
Every night when the arcade closes the video game characters travel through the power cords to meet at the power strip which is sort of a subway station connecting all the games together.
There are lots of licensed characters in this game... I saw stuff from Nintendo, Sega, and Sony, and then there were still lots of jokes in the graffiti. I'm pretty sure I saw "Leroy Jenkins" scrawled on one wall.
Anyway, good flick. If you don't have a kid, borrow a niece or nephew as an excuse to see it.
-------------- I don't give a fuck!

Saw it Friday too. Went with my oldest. We both enjoyed it.
I only have two criticisms: 1. Sarah Silverman is in it, and since she has revealed herself to be batshit insane, I had trouble not thinking about that when hearing her voice. 2. I wish there was more nostalgic characters, and more traveling into various games.

I really enjoyed it, and the kids loved it. My youngest was a bit trepidatious, and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out she had seen part of the movie on our Disney Cruise... and it happened to be the meanest scene in the entire movie.
Sarah S - I thought it was her at first, then I thought it might be the woman from Last Man on Earth/30 Rock/Flight of the Conchords... and I couldn't quite decide, but thought it was Sarah. She's hot, and funny, doesn't bother me.
Yeah, kinda wish there was more nostalgia, too. I paused the opening scene each time they showed a new videogame and talked to my kids about it. My wife was like "WE CAN'T HEAR THE INTRO VOICE"... I told her mine was the only voice she needed.
