So. . . is the PC version as fucked up as many people say?
5-6 hour single player content. Isn't that pretty close to the rest of the COD games?
Online play 'sucks' with no dedicated servers. You click online play and get grouped with 17 other people. Can't pick who you can play with or what server you play on.
Can't lean around corners.
The list goes on. MANY players are complaining about these missing features. Infinity Ward is saying that you can create you own servers, control who plays on it, etc. But, the players say you can't.
Anyone know the truth? What the hell is going on with the game?

Morons.
I'm not a big COD guy, but I know one who plays on the 360 exclusively, and he liked "World at War" better than this version.

According to activisions president PC gamers would like to be able to pay for matchmaking services, achievements, and dedicated servers.
So a crappier version of steam that you have to pay for. No mention that this is going to happen with MW2 but perhaps by the time of MW3.
Seeing how they are joined I wonder if battle.net will do the same thing with SC2 and Diablo 3?

The only thing I see that might make it successful is that they actually make games for the service. With MS they just made the service and then wanted everyone else to make the games to use it.
I can see people being willing to pay to play MW3 and other games online. I just don't know if they will make more money with the one time $60 cost of the game or having a lot less buyers but people paying for the game and then a monthly fee over time.

MW2 was not built for the PC it is a 360 game that is ported over to the PC if that matters to you.

FYI, not sure if I posted this elsewhere, but I played a bit of the COD: MW2 multi component over the holidays.
Suckfest.
It's nothing more than death matches. The PC invented that shit back in the early 90s and moved on in the mid-90s.
I've long said that console gaming, in some cases, is WAY overhyped. This would be exhibit A.
Everyone I know that owns it does nothing but play death matches. That act like it's the cutting edge of gaming.
COD: MW2 has effectively proven that console-only players don't have a clue about what makes a good game.

Too busy at work to do much digging.
Also, for further content, fuck consoles.
Except for playing BD apparently.
