I'm gonna not focus on Malcolm's fuckup and say that this is very exciting. It also raises questions about purposely triggering pre-cancerous replication to heal injuries and force cells to replicate past their telomere limits.

Researchers now know why wasp stings cure cancer. Unfortunately not as promising on the immortality front as Mal's (broken) link.

QUOTE Maybe wasps aren't as big of assholes as we believe? Maybe every time a wasps stings you is because it sensed a melanoma on your skin and it just saved your life and wasps just can't understand why we hate them so much when all they want to do is help. This is a brilliant theory.

This is a brilliant theory. The species that reproduces by zombifying other species and having the young cannibalize them? Oh yeah, nothing but benevolence coming from those things.

So again, they're fighting our natural enemies.
The wasp might be the most misunderstood creature on the planet.
