Bah!
Read the most recent Aquaman series by Geoff Johns. Issues 1-4 or so. He completely revamped Aquaman and made him cool. He didn't shy away from the public perception of him either.

I find myself agreeing with Malcolm. Aquaman might be cool now in the comics, but Nolan still had to overcome batman nipples and the batusi.

Johns did too.
Also, Batman, both comics and the Nolan movies, is crazy overrated.

Batman started out cool, then got lame-ified during the campy TV show. Â Then Frank Miller came and made him a bad-ass again.
EDIT: The more I watch the Nolan Batman trilogy, the more my opinion of it lowers, especially the last one.
