In my research, the only people that think marijuana isn't habit forming, are people who smoke marijuana.

In my research, nicotine kills more people than THC.

Agreed. And also in my research, the taller a building is, the more money it costs to build it.

THC isn't addictive, but it can certainly be habituating. There's a big difference.
As to why, some people just want to harsh the whole world's buzz.

QUOTE In my research, the only people that think marijuana isn't habit forming, are people who smoke marijuana. I could say the same thing about caffeine, but that's legal for some reason.
EDIT: This past year alone, I'm pretty sure caffeine killed more people than bud.

Nothing learned from Prohibition. QUOTE Additionally he’s seen firsthand how in teens predisposed to mental illness or already exhibiting some signs of disease, such as schizophrenia, a potent version of the drug can result in a psychotic episode or break with reality. If smoking bud causes you to break with reality, I bet that going on a drinking binge has the same effect. I've yet to see a pothead smoke his bong, then randomly insult people and get into fights. I have seen countless dumb-asses get into drunken punch-ups.
QUOTE Thurston said after medical marijuana was legalized in the state in 2009, adolescents started to report that “they’re using much higher potency products,” such as solid forms of synthetic marijuana called “waxes,” which can be up to 50 or 60 percent THC. What? I know of no synthetic product which goes up to that level. You'd find that concentration primarily in labs. Occasionally, some psycho tries to make hash oil and might be able to reach that threshold.

I know it exists, but that's not synthetic bud or THC, as the author was claiming. Â It's still natural THC, it's just more concentrated due to some chemical tricks. Â In fact, the article there looks like it's describing a fancy way to get as many trichromes as possible while scaling up. Â You could always scrape them off yourself, though.
But, and here's the important bit, either way the active ingredient content in each granule isn't uniform, so any percentage measurements are estimates. Â It's not definitive, like proofing booze.
