Game for kids

Former Kickstarter that is selling its last inventory of 2,000.

This thing has gotten great reviews for kids.  I bought one for mine, but it's Christmas present, so we haven't tried it out yet.

I have never been taught anything "sneakily" in my life.  I'm not even sure what the hell that means.  Learning is an intentional act unless you believe Mr. Miyagi's crap methods in The Karate Kid.

It's basically Robo Rally for kids.  I approve.

Just bought one for the god daughter's next birthday.

The best teachers teach you without you ever knowing you've been taught.  Seriously.  That's why school is so useless, can't sneak in any learning there, everyone is on their guard.

In this case "programming" is a strong word, though.  I think basic algorithmic problem solving would be more accurate.

Oh, I don't know.  I've had more than one good prof whose lectures I enjoyed.

But at that point in my life I was very much enjoying learning new things, so I may have been uncommon among students.

I don't buy that.  After sitting on both sides of the podium in a few different capacities, the only way you learn without knowing is believing that those subliminal tapes they used to sell on informercials really work.  At the very least, I am not taught best by stealth.

If there is a podium involved, then you're in completely the wrong environment for my point to be applicable.  Schools and universities are not a place where the best learning experiences can ever possibly happen, except perhaps sometimes between classes when no teachers are around.

I got quite a bit from certain lectures at uni.  Could that knowledge have been imparted in a different way?  Probably.  But the lecture + lab was enough to hammer some things through effectively.  I'll admit I've learned 10x more on the job.
