So if a bully negligently stomps on some kids iPad, that kid's family has to pay for it? Hardly seems fair.
Their intent is nice, but the execution here is grossly incompetent. The way things are now, if they want to replace textbooks with iPads they should bolt the iPads to the desks and set them up with roaming profiles for each student to have access to their particular books.
