I've heard supporting evidence...

1) When you drill down to a subatomic level, particles have a nasty habit of showing up only when something needs to measure them.  They think it's kind of like how variables in sims only need to exist when something needs to reference it.

2) Someone thinks that they can effectively "zoom in" on a certain region of space closely enough to examine it for the physics equivalent of pixelation in the fabric of space-time.

I've also heard evidence to the contrary...
Really?  Someone had the energy, knowledge, and resources to make a sim this complex but made it suck this much?  I will fucking nutpunch them.
