R.I.P. Ryan Dunn, jackass.
EDIT : I'm actually kind of surprised it took this long for one of them to pull something like this. I always figured Steve-O would go first.

I agree that it's amazing that none of them were dead before this incident.
Roger Ebert, who I personally can't stand, is taking a lot of heat for tweeting "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive".
I think those who are pissed at him are a bit misguided. One could say "too soon", but is it really?
First of all, it appears he was right in his assumption that Dunn was drunk driving.
Secondly, here's a guy who a LOT of the youth in this country watched in movies and on TV, and he dies in a senseless manner. What's wrong with trying to use his death to warn folks not to drink themselves stupid and then get behind the wheel of a car? Why not try to make his death meaningful by using it to educate others?
If I was an MTV executive, I'd have the cast of Jackass in making PSAs against drunk driving once they got through the initial stages of grief.

QUOTE Surveillance video shared with police supported the bar employee's observations, said Frank Herron, the general manager. If this is true, it's probably what saved them from legal hell. I'm calling: in another decade, all places that serve liquor will be required, by law, to have you give up your keys at the door and submit to a breath-a-lyzer before claiming them.

What about a disclaimer at the door which is the legal equivalent of, "You're adults with free will and we aint your parents?"

The U.S. has a prerecorded, emphatic, "Fuck you," reply to that type of thinking, you anarchist.
