So the city council of Cedar Falls decided that to keep citizens safe, all businesses would be required to provide keys, at their own expense, to the city for use "in an emergency." Their reasoning is that it will provide faster access to these places and could save lives.
Let's put aside the Constitutional issue for a moment and just look at the logic: 1. It's a business. 2. When people are at a business, it's generally open. 3. When people aren't there, it's generally closed.
How is having the key "saving people"?
I agree with the one lady, this is step 1. Step 2 will be them asking for house keys.
