True or False?

Of course, it may be true that there are fewer PEOPLE in America making stuff, just as there are fewer people growing food, than in the past.  Is this good or bad?

I tend to disagree.  However, in general, I'd rather "create wealth" than "make stuff."

Let China make the rubber dogshit.  I'd rather work at the next internet startup.

If you can make a machine automatically perform a task just as well as a person, why the fuck wouldn't you go with the machine?  Start picking careers that aren't going to be obsolete.

Good.  The fewer people making anything, the better (assuming increasing output/person).

I think 100 years ago 25% of Americans were farmers, now it's like 1 or 2%?  Why, cuz we're better at it than we used to be, and our increased standard of living reflects that.  Just like manufacturing.
