Baseball is fucking mind numbingly dull. It's a sport for stat junkies and people who are ok with MLB blatantly encouraging players to cheat. Not to mention the premier team in the league buys championships as the league is too cowardice to install any legislation to balance competition. On top of that, there are 162 games in the regular season. It is now November and the World Series is still being played. I hear about baseball more than any other sport. Its season might justify this, but its ratings and ticket sales do not.
Most people do not need half of Sportscenter dedicated to breaking down specific pitches or at bats from a single baseball game. We just don't care. Save that crap for Baseball Tonight.
Also, and this might be hard for you to believe, but NFL games took place outside of Green Bay and Philadelphia last night.
No, really.
It would have been nice to watch Sportscenter and see Ted Ginn Jr. returning 2 kickoffs in the 3rd quarter, see Vince Young try to resurrect his career, watch Denver get exposed, hear more about Cleveland's woes and rumors about Mangini getting fired, watch highlights of the pillow fight between the Rams and Lions, etc.
Instead, from 11 p.m. (or so) until 2 a.m. (or so when my daughter finally went back to sleep) I saw nothing but Yankees-Phllies analysis, Vikings-Packers highlights, TONS about Brett's return to Green Bay, and highlights from Eagles-Giants.
All three were big games, yes. All three may have deserved an extra minute or two, yes. But how about saving the super in depth breakdowns for your more specialized shows? That way the people who give a shit can watch that, and you won't alienate and bore the shit out of the majority of your audience.

Just think of how much shit there would've been if the Pack-queers had actually won.

Dear ESPN:
All sports are too dull to watch and you should shut down operations and show repeats of scifi shows 24/7.
And porn after 10 pm.

I am suprised.... because I agree 100%, maybe even more so because I don't even bother to watch sportcenter during baseball season.
It really is THAT boring.

Perhaps if all sportscasters were naked women I'd watch.

QUOTE Of course the first thing espn should do before any other programming decisions is fire stuart scott. I always change the channel the moment he comes on screen. Go fuck yourself. OK, I don't really know him, but he's from my hometown and went to the same University as Troy and me, so I just feel like I have to react that way. Maybe you or troy should have kicked the guys ass a few years back and told him to stop being a douche bag. You really let your fellow alumni down.
