If anyone follows Japanese politics ... there's popular hatred for the current party (Lib. Dems.) & they're going to get killed next election. But this paragraph caught my eye :

Perhaps every political group chanting the, "Let's spend more cash," mantra isn't a strictly U.S. phenomenon.
